Business Intelligence Analyst, Financial Planning (Closed)
Job Summary:
At Evergreen Training, data drives all of our decision-making. We require the Business Intelligence Analyst using data to inform business and financial investment product decisions across the company, including providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across our financial products. This role also needs to use data-driven skills/methods and business acumen to develop data solutions at scale by partnering with teams across different verticals that provide strategic insights and create data-driven and efficient financial investment process. This role is required to use analytics, visualization and data warehousing expertise to create and prepare a wide range of data visualization tools supporting reporting concerning financial investment and planning, budgeting, as well as forecasting, identify opportunities/risks; and clearly communicate them to stakeholders, explain the analyses and recommendations to executive management by conveying a wide range of information, including complex analytic findings, through polished and engaging reports and visuals.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Partner with a broad range of stakeholders (Finance, Information Technology, Program teams) to identify key performance indicators and determine the data requirements for reporting requests.

Build and illustrate data sets from data collected through various providers such as Transamerica, Nationwide, Pacific Life, Athene, Jackson, Allianz, Fidelity, American Funds, and etc., Prepare analytical reports to summarize findings, share and provide support to both financial advisor as well as clients with established communication processes, so that to generate a clear investment view and present to the clients.

Build SQL queries, test existing queries to maintain client information database and found specific demands of multi-level income families’ financial needs.

Build data infrastructure (e.g., designing architecture, building data pipelines, implementing scalable monitoring) and implementing reporting solutions.

Develop business intelligence tools, dashboards and reports using Tableau.

Design and implement new business intelligence and data analysis methodologies.

Transform business intelligence and data into actionable insights that drive business value through identifying trends and patterns that can help decision makers to make timely and well-informed business decisions.

Develop dashboards, reports, briefs, commentary, and data visualizations used to communicate financial and business metrics to a broad audience (Executive, senior leaders, single contributors).

Review and validate the accuracy of data and metrics as they are collected. Escalate and manage data quality concerns as appropriate.

Conduct analytical testing to ensure the derived solution matches the documented business need.

Provide technical support for proper use of business intelligence applications to enhances business decision making capabilities.
Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field of study.

Experience:

3 Years of experience in business intelligence/analytics or quantitative analysis related fields in financial planning area with the following specific requirements:
-
3 years of experience with analytical programming languages such as SQL, Python or R
-
1 years of experience in data modeling and architecture
-
1 year of experience in using Github to control and collaborate data sets by creating and using current repository in support of internal usage of data
-
1 year of experience with creating reports on BI tools such as Power BI/SQL Server
-
3 years of advanced knowledge of MS excel, for example vba, pivot for summary large amount of data to packaged report on and explore trends based on the information

2 years of experience utilizing business intelligence visualizations tools including MS Power BI, Tableau

Financial Analyst
(Hiring)
Duties and Responsibilities:

Ability to gather, analyze, interpret financial records, detect errors and prepare financial reports using various applications such as SQL/R
-
Research: economy, financial markets, individual securities, mutual funds, etc.

Maintain strong compliance documentation related to research, for example, past results perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations on trading and client interactions.

Analyze, interpret, and synthesize learnings from research sources, and draw actionable and executable conclusions for clients

Familiar with procedures and clients' qualifications for the application of the different product with the newest version updated

Engage in ad-hoc financial analysis and provide ad-hoc analysis to resolve issues, support business decisions as well as seniors

Update investment proposals by Thomson Reuters InvestmentView & Checkpoint for trusted answers, guidance, and resources to help analyst provide accurate information to financial advisors quickly investment policy statements with changes in client’s risk tolerance; and provide fact-based insights into variances and trends.

Collaborate with the lead financial advisor and cooperated lawyer on strategies for risk/wealth management, including estate and tax planning

Demonstrate a deep understanding of financial markets, and can explain simply but detail financial concepts while building rapport and credibility to deliver financial planning advice for high net-worth clientele by different solutions from various aspects. Assess and implement process improvements in the financial planning cycle.
Job Requirements:

Strong analytical skills, technical knowledge of financial analysis products including MS Suite: Excel (expert level)
& SQL/R (strong working knowledge). -
Ability to have the license of FINRA SIE, Series 6 & 63 required within 90 days of hire

Series 65 and/or 66 and state registrations required within 5 months of hire is preferred

Excellent interpersonal abilities with a bias for communication and collaboration to work well with and be helpful to all members in different fields and levels

Proven experience in analysis, modeling, and reporting financial performance

Bachelor degree in economics, finance or accounting; Master is preferred.

Operating Officer/Assistance

Duties and Responsibilities:

Involve in all aspects of pre-client meeting activities such as customer data gathering, preparation of meeting agendas, edit specific topics fliers or brochures for each week learning and training event, as well as the seminar registration worksheet every month.

Help some clients who might need help (such as: translate some words) to let them have a better understanding of each term in paperwork, application, investment policy statements, asset allocation.
